My Very First Experience

Friday, 19th January I went from house to the airport in Solo-Jakarta, to go to a place where all my stories will begin. This story will be one of the most epic journey I ever had in my life. It will be my first time to teach in the “real” classroom with different condition, abroad, in a non-English-speaking country. It was quite a challenge for me. But that’s one of my reason to apply for this program, to challenge myself.

It was the first time I got myself to have a lonely flight, and it was international flight 😁. I've waiting this program since 2017. I have the flight from SOC to CGK at 20.30 pm, my mom, dad, father, endra, pam was there

and then arrived in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta at 23.00 pm. Unfortenaly, Pakdhe Kamto (my dad's brother) and his wife pick me up with Irau -my sea-teacher friend from Banjarmasin- went to their house to got some rest (matur-nuwun budhe, pakdhe🤗). Me and Irau have a morning flight from CGK-DMK at 06.20 am. So, we went to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta at 04.00 am and I got subuh then meet up with Novy and Vivien (from Universitas Lampung), Chris, then we flew away with Thai Lion to Don Mueang International Airport, Thailand arrived at 10.00 am, it was direct flight, hehe. Irau and me passed the imigration with gently. Alhamdulillah 😊

From plane to airport by bus (I saw selebgram, Hamidah Rachmayanti hihi so pretty😍)

We've picked up by buddies (Pao, Cha, Neck, Ploy, Apple, Pong, etc) and coordinator of Valaya Rajabhat University (Ma'am Nina, Ma'am Vi)

We went to dormitory by van, the road were so crowded so I got dizzy.

After that, we got the warm welcome from the dorm master and all the buddies, then we got the key of number 120 room. One room consisted of 4 girls. Then we went to Muslim food in food center at VRU for lunch. First we should had a card and top-up with money. I ordered chicken fried rice with chocolate less ice Thai tea. We're all starving and tired.

We went to Lotus Market by van (we don't have 5 baht, so Neck paid for all of us 😘) in Lotus we bought SIM card and unlimited internet data. I was so happy because since at the airport, I couldn't gave my family a news because I don't have data.

We back to dorm and took a bath, got some rest, and praying

We invited by buddies to take a look the Night Market, and we bought some halal food. It's so tiring because we should walking from dorm to night market 😅 it's such a new experience for me, because I usually used motorcycle in Indonesia.

With my buddies (Arn, Aem, Am) and Novy. I'd adaptation from my country to new country where I lived in here for 30 days to go. I hope I can do my best. Barakallah. Good luck for all of us! 🙏
